Hey y’all!!! Happy Friday!!! We love our community over here at Platinum Realty Group and are proud to represent Muskegon and the surrounding West Michigan communities! We thought it would be fun to promote some of the happenings going on in West Michigan by compiling a list of our top five things to do over the weekend (and sometimes into the following week). We’re dubbing it our “Friday Five” and we hope you find it informative and it encourages you to get out and explore all of the wonderful things our community has to offer!
Located at Muskegon’s Heritage Landing, this festival offers something for all ages! Everything from music, dance, culture, food, fun, shopping and more can be enjoyed all weekend long at this growing festival, celebrating the Irish culture. Grab your kilt and bagpipes and head on downtown to partake in the festivities!
If you have never attended this amazing community event….what are you waiting for?!?! Your suggested $5 donation goes back to various local charities and organizations and you get to be led through an amazing all-level yoga class by one of the fabulous instructors from Muskegon’s own Rootdown Yoga.Juice.Greens yoga studio. It’s a win-win for everyone! And you can’t beat the stunning views from the deck of the USS LST 393 as the sun sets over Muskegon Lake! This Sunday, September 18th is your LAST chance to catch this great community event until it picks up again next summer, so check out their website at the link above or Rootdown’s facebook page for more info on this awesome community event!
For all of you dog lovers out there, here is a fun way to show your support and raise some funds for the Muskegon Humane Society and all the work they do to care for animals looking for their forever homes. Register you and your four-legged friend for the 5k Run/Walk that begins at the Holiday Inn in Spring Lake and takes you through the charming village of Spring Lake. What a fun event to raise funds for a great cause!
Michigan’s Heritage Park at Hilt’s Landing is a perfect family activity, promising an outdoor adventure for all ages. Your tour will take you through 10,000 years of Michigan History in a natural woodland setting near Whitehall in northern Muskegon County. “Make and Take” vintage crafts are part of the experience! Open on Saturdays and Sundays through September (check the website for hours), so you have a couple weekends left to get out and enjoy this unique park that allows you to immerse yourself in Michigan history in different hands-on experiences.
